I wonder if you just wired in a 5-7 volt power source via a key-on power source (using a resistor and heat sink to step down the voltage) if you could just manually wire that up? Also, I was also told the E92 base model cars do not have the servotronic steering assist.... don't know how true that is. Maybe its a european model thing. Im looking into this because I hate crossing my hands on the track, and after driving an m3 (and never having to do that) I want that in my 1er.
