You'll want to upgrade the charge pipe for sure, sooner then later.
There is not a week that goes by where we don't have at least 1 customer who needs a charge pipe sent with over night shipping because their CP failed.
The question about DV and BOV is a very common one and really comes down to looks and sound.
Most go for the BOV for sound but also when upgrading the CP the BOV is cheaper since you only need 1.
