Just set it and forget it!
These cars are designed very well and the power loss is minimal if any. Also, it is good to have the ac run occasionally in the winter to keep the system lubricated. If you don't use the ac all winter you will see more issues down the road because the system is not suppose to go that long without lubrication/use.
