The lower shock mount puts stress on it when suspension is fully extended. Both when loosening and tightening I broke it in that position. The only way I avoided snapping it was by threading it on, dropping the car back to ride height, then tightening it down.
Feels like a shame to throw away a perfectly good part because of mounting point but I guess I’ll trash it.
