Staggered or heavy OEM wheels for track

As the title says:

I'm looking for advice on what to use for novice/HPDE1 track days I'm planning on attending this year.

I have OEM 207M wheels that can take square 225/45 profile tires AND staggered EC7s with 235/265 profile tires.

OEMs are heavy but can be better due to being square. The EC7s, though lighter, may be a hindrance. I know the 128i does not have enough power to even require the rear 265s, but this is what I already have installed on the wheels (street driven tires).

I know I'm a novice still and it might not even matter at this point, but wanted to get good advice from the get go. I want to start right and then go from there. I don't even have track mods, except for maybe suspension but that's it. Small 128 brakes with uprated pads for track and a fluid flush. I plan to upgrade to F30 calipers though in the near future. Other than these, nothing else for now.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks again ladies and gents. Cheers!
