I have ordered a diff from an automatic 135i. Which has a shorter gearing. In that diff the ring was not wealded.
Only problem was the automatic diff housing was 2.1 cm shorter. So my middle bearing did not fit anymore from my propshaft. So i needed to change something to my bearing to get it fit.
If you go with a manual diff housing you don t have that problem. But then you don t have the shorter final gear.
I have no 3.46 instead of 3.06. The car goes so damn fast. My dealer said it s now faster than the z4 mcoupe which i drive now.
