Why
Because i want to keep my orginal diff in the garage if i sell the car it goes back on.
So i ordered a new complete diff from bmw. I had 2 choices.
Order a 3.08 diff and send it to drexler and build in 3.46 and LSD
or
Order a 3.46 diff and send it to drexler and build in LSD.
Choice 2 is cheaper. But what i did not know was that a 3.46 automatic diff is 2.1 cm shorter. So i needed to make some adjustments on the propshaft middle bearing. Nicer would be if it was bolt on.
So next time i order a complete diff from drexler with the good final gear. Which is bolt on.
