IF you look at the OP (page 1) of this thread (Wolfe) you will see he used Redline fluids/oils.
I think it would be Ok. But for me IF anything were to fail while under the powertrain warranty... I don't want to give a BMW a reason to deny warranty coverage for my car. So... that is the reason why I will use BMW's LTF tranny oil and Castrol diff oil.
