It doesn't have to be the exact year but it's can't be too new since they updated them in 13(?) with the running light above the headlight. I don't need bulbs but everything needs to work. The adaptive headlights (that turn as you turn the steering wheel) have gone out in mine. I have tried replacing the stepper motor and electronics within the headlight and each time taking it to BMW to reprogram and nothing has worked. I believe the headlight itself has a short in it somewhere.
