I actually did swap the seats.. for OEM sports seats from non-sport seats :P. The stock belt is totally fine for autox to hold me in; I just move the seat back, pull on the belt to get it tight, and then move my seat forward to get it nice and tight for each autox run.
Part of the reason I didn't do it all these years was that I wasn't willing to give up the seat warmers (I know right, unbelievable  ). Right now I'd be more willing to do it but the weight savings would actually bump me up a point into the next class at autox. Maybe I should put them in and bolt some ballast in low CG point on the chassis.. |
Both reasons are valid points, plus the adjustable side bolsters help aswell, i was just curious.
