Yes, and your point being?
It is a standard BMW N54 engine with tinkered M software (and some small bits), end result being one hell of a fantastic M car.
BMW exces are always stubborn and want to save money to make more, they doubted they would sell 3,000 E30 M3s at the time and they ended up selling more than they could ever dreamed of. |
What I'm saying is that the N54 is part of the story...Nothing more, nothing less. If it had been given a bespoke M engine it would not exist. There's no way it would have been greenlit and there's no way it would have been $47k new. I think the engine choice in the 1M should be accepted as part of the story instead of being argued about...
