I've had mine for almost 2 years now. Never hooked up the yellow wire. Have never lost presets.
Time is GPS based, so long as you've entered the correct time zone in the factory menu it'll auto update.
But after having it for a while, I need something better. The internal amp is weak and the EQ control just can't compensate. May have something to do with my alpine upgrade, but this car just has zero midrange punch.
