FYI, to add to the knowledge base of this thread:
Just completed oil service -
83-21-2-365-946 / 83 21 2 365 946 is a valid part number for BMW's old 07-51-0-017-866 SAE 5W-30. My parts dept thinks the change is due to BMW no longer using Castrol products.
