Do you want a square setup for rotational purposes? I’m in the same boat and I’ve been thinking about ordering two 245/40/17 tires and testing them on the front. If I can’t make them fit, I’ll put them in the rear and get 235/45/17 for the front. Depending on the tire, you can get slightly more tread width than the 225. The diameter difference should be negligible and I would think the handling would be close to neutral. Unfortunately you’re on a 40mm offset so you can’t do much for fender rub. With 45mm offset, at least I can add a spacer to get me off the strut and hopefully not rub the fender.
