Just chiming in to say that this site is amazing. I just bought a 335d that had the AHL2 coding already performed by the previous owner. I was looking for more info on the normal operation as well as the proper base-aiming instructions (they're aimed a little too high) and found all that here in this thread.
There was lots of talk in here about the high beams actually being brighter (maybe overdriving the ballasts?) But no confirmation. In the years since this has been posted, has anyone done any LUX testing to confirm or deny this?
