For 2012, it looks like there is a $8,100 difference between the base price of the 128 and 135. Of course the 135 has some other features included as standard. Depending on how someone options their car, I could see how some people may not think the price difference is worth it. I would certainly have to think about it if I were shopping for a new 1er.
Also, some people may not want the turbo engine, so they would never consider it. The N52 is still a gem of an engine and it will be sad to see it go.
