My wife's 80+ year old grandfather planted LOTs of tomatos and watered them every day with Miracle Grow. They looked like Jack and the Bean Stalk plants.
I tried chillis a few years ago. They looked great but had nearly no heat. Apparently there are some very specific nutrient requirements before the plant will make much capsaiacin.
