Run to the Hills 8/8/10

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and I don't know any 1 Series enthusiasts. My friends and I have hosted a few canyon runs before and the turn out has been great on all of them so far. I'd like to get to meet and get to know any SoCal 1series enthusiasts so I think this canyon run would be a great opportunity.

The run was originally created by a group of Mini/MINI enthusiast and I hope to share it with some of you guys!

Our day will start off in West Los Angeles (Address below), then to the beach for a group photo opportunity, Pacific Coast Highway, then off we go to the hills of Malibu, lastly we'll end up at the famous Rock Store Cafe off Mulholland Highway in Augora Hills for lunch
I have personally done this route a few times and there are some hills and twisties so please be sure all vehicles that attend this event are up to par with brakes, suspension, etc.
I have recently checked/toured the road this past weekend to make sure there is not any major construction going on, etc. The route is clear and I am sure it'll be a blast!

Please meet at the meeting spot at 9:30am and we will group up and maps will be passed out and we will be on our way by 10:00am sharp please be there on time.

Starts off of the 405, Sunset Blvd at the old Holiday Inn, now called the Hotel Angelino.

170 N Church Ln
Los Angeles, CA 90049

The run will last about 3-4 hours, please arrive with a full tank of gas and prepare to have fun!

As a reminder if possible please bring a two-way cb radio/walkie talkie, if you have extras it would be nice to lend them out. This way we will not get separated, so we can give notifications about road conditions, and such

If you need anymore info, email me at yeh.lawrenceyoung@gmail.com

I hope to see you guys there!

Update:
I was there just yesterday and the roads are fine. We will be avoiding a road due to construction.
