Nothing irreversible, just hold on to the rubber stopper that sits beneath the air box. It's there for a reason and don't loose it, otherwise the airbox will rattle against the frame rail and drive you insane (ask me how I know).

I just used some plastic/wood screws and some extra large washers. Works well, and doesn't look too janky...
