It's just a DESIGN CONCEPT, people. You don't get any details about suspension, engine, etc because they're not important at this time. It is a litmus test for STYLING to see if the public gives it a thumbs up or down.
However, it is an indicator that BMW perhaps intends to do a hotter 1-series variant that will not be available in the spring. Whether it's an M1 or a 135tii is TBD. I would however expect lower and stiffer suspension and *maybe* slightly different engine/exhaust tuning.
