I don't understand why some SA's are like this. I mean, it's one thing to tell the customer that they aren't required to do a break-in oil change for warranty purposes, but once the customer says the understand that and want to *pay the dealer for the work anyway* it doesn't make sense to maintain a hard line.

I called up my SA at P&W in Pittsburgh for a break-in differential oil change (I'd already done the oil change myself,) and he said that it wasn't required, and that it was technically a lifetime fill. I said that I understood that, let's do it anyway, and he was cool with that. He seemed decent enough, so I'll probably be more inclined to do more business with him now.
