Yeah good thinking, tbh I replaced a dashboard before on an early E90 325i, it didn't come from factory with iDrive, so I installed a double-hump dash (second hump houses the iDrive screen). Took a bit over 7 hours, but the car ended with way less rattles after the new dash went in. If all fasteners are torqued to specs, it shouldn't rattle (was very low from memory, about 4Nm for most fasters).
So if this is done right, we should hopefully end up with a quieter cabin for our 8+ years old cars
Yes, that's right, plenty of BMW's randomly caught fire around the world including a few E90's, because of the blower motor wiring. There was actually a white E92 335i that caught fire in NSW earlier this year (insurance paid him out thankfully).
