One thing about choosing brake fluid that is under appreciated is viscosity. I believe BMW brake fluid is low viscosity for better ABS operation. And I believe 5.1 is lower viscosity than some DOT 4 fluids. I have no clue where it sets relative to BMW 4.

I was talking about 5.1 , not 5.
I know they are not the same and I think I can use 5.1 in the bmw brake system. Let's see if everybody agrees
