For me in Germany, only Federal 595RS-RR make the 245/35/18 track day tires.

Those are not street legal, so on certain track days they will not be allowed. Hence why i am focusing on 17x8.5 ET40 wheels instead for my 125i.

Besides, the 125i/128i is the lightest of the E82 series (if i am not mistaken) and you can find Apex 17s as well as OZ alleggerita in 17 x 8,5 ET40 as well. Both wheels weight around 7,6kgs (super light) and both are super strong.

My goal is to run 235/40/17 square on Nangkang AS-1s (they kept getting good reviews, even certain "track junkies" i know locally switch from Cup 2s to them). I aim for the 8.5" wheel since i wanted to be "ready" for a 245 tire when the time comes, last thing i want is to pinch 245s on a 8" wheel (some get away with it, it depends on the wheel and tire).

Now, you then have the other side, where some claim that the E82 is "too heavy", and one should run 18" instead (even for the 125i/128i), i am unsure honestly about this.
