Reminds me of a thread when I first started posting here where I was told repeatedly that just because every other convertible made had half the torsional rigidity of the coupe counterpart, the 1 series was an exception.

I actually got in contact with the BMW engineering department in Germany via BMWNA(probably because I was asking such an obscure question) in the end.
