Some guys have had a shredded belt issues - do to launching the car from a start HARD or when making power shifts(hard 1st to 2nd). The motor mounts allow the engine to move enough that the front crankshaft pulley will contact the front core support. Do that enough times and your belt will pay the price. I remember a few guys who had to replace the front crank pulley bc of this. And it wasn't a cheap repair from what I remember. That harmonic pulley was bucko's.

It could also be one of your tensioner pulleys. One of the ball bearings could be damaged, and when it gets caught JUST right inside the tensioner's race, it locks up and causes the belt to be damaged.
