The Focus would be a hard sell. I've mentioned it to her before, but she had one as a long term corporate rental right when she came to the US back in 2007 and it was one of those previous generation models that were horrific.
We rented a new Focus 1.0T in South Africa back in May and she seemed inclined to think it was a huge step up, but I don't know if I can sway her. I will have to mention it though, since it does check all the boxes. |

The ST gets good reviews. My brother has a non-ST and it's a well-made machine. You can easily find a 2018 new for $20K.
