Have you reset it through the stalk on the steering column? Start the car.
Push the button, with the horizontal ridges in the lever, up until it gets to:
If you press the "BC" button at the end of the stalk it will say "active" or perhaps "inactive" in your case.
Just press and hold the "BC" button at the end of the stalk until it finally comes up with "resetting" and then you drive off. After about a mile or less, mine reset and the light goes away.
Other than that, as the other poster mentioned you may have a hardware failure somewhere else.
