I totally agree. I get quirks. My Ducati 848 bought new has plenty of them. But you're right about this transmission. I just didn't know it could get this bad. But I think with the latest update, it least it's some what tolerable.
The funny thing is I met up with my friend who is a BMW dealer service tech today. I told him a while ago about the issues I've had with the DCT trans. He told me he didn't realize how bad it was until he had to check out a 135i they took in I assume as a trade in. He said he got into traffic and got the "oh $hit" moment in thick traffic when he hit the gas and nothing happened.
