In preparation for running heavy concentrations of ethanol in the future, I decided to pull the trigger on a Phoenix Racing Port Injection Manifold from Burger Motorsports. I installed it with a set of injection plugs for now, until I can figure out the exact size injectors I want to run.
Install was a breeze, and it looks great! The stock plastic manifold was such an eye sore! The butt dyno says that it flows slightly better than stock. Top end pull seems a bit stronger now!
Made a few changes to the interior as well.
I am now running the Daytona Pro shift knob from WeAreLikewise. It is made from 304 Stainless Steel, and weighs a whopping 1.3lbs. The RTD shifter used to be slightly notchy with the BMW Performance knob, but the added weight now helps it slide effortlessly into gear.
I like having an assortment of shift knobs on hand. Switching them out periodically changes the feel of the car more than you'd think and keeps things interesting.
Also, finally received the carbon fiber interior trim kit that I ordered from Mashimarho a couple of months ago. The kit was custom made to order, and definitely worth the wait. It's beautiful! I was very happy to get rid of the wood grain..
Custom steering wheel from NRW should be here soon, and should tie the interior together nicely!
