Owning a 1M for driving OR investment is really, really silly. The main "valid" reasons for ownership are status or collection. That's it.

If you want to drive that car get a 135i with much greater marginal utility, or for 1M money, ridiculously higher performance. Seriously, do you know what $50K+ can do to a 135i, including the outright purchase of the car? Here's a list:

--Modify track and geometry to match or exceed 1M specs
--Modify with much better dampers than 1M
--Modify with much better aftermarket diff
--Change steering rack for tighter, if you're into that
--Ridiculous power. How much do you want?
--Optionally comes stock with dual clutch, blowing man trans out of the water for hard driving
--Money probably left over for other stuff, depending on how extravagant you went on the foregoing

Oh and if you want to invest long term look at the stock market.
Say what? Owning it for status? Are you serious? It has virtually 0 status. Its an inexpensive 9 year old bmw.

Owning for driving is silly? Is this a troll post? It is a blast to drive, more so than a 135i. And not everyone wants a modded car or needs to save a few pennies buy pimping out a 135i.
