Yeah 40 is very high- less of the tire is going to be touching the ground vs if you were setting it lower so you're also leaving room on the table in terms of grip. Uneven wear that is center biased is a sign of that. On the street I run the tires at around 36 cold.

As far as reducing shoulder wear, at -3 and greater neg camber, and zero toe it wears pretty even.

That said the center rib on my z2ss gets pretty chewed up compared to the rest of the tire, maybe just a product of pressure getting too high before i have a chance to bleed it
