Because my car is daily driven, even throughout the winter it's hard to keep the threads clean. I always clean as much as possible before I make adjustments but I also use a product from Boeshield called T9 to protect the threads.

The issue is the design of the wrenches (not terrible but not that good). For the money paid for these dampers you would expect something a little better. I guess I'm nitpicking and at the end of the day I didn't buy wrenches to get quality dampers.
