Today, I came across this photo of various shift levers. You can see that the SSK's have a longer lever under the "ball". Z3M has the shortest throws. I had one on my e36 and it was really quite short. less than 45mm's I'd say from throw to throw. Just FYI for anyone who wants to try to make a SSK lever like @scotth944 did.
