I wonder if there's different versions of the Navi. My iDrive has a great split screen feature that the page you posted displays a non-split screen.
The Split screen is also good for nav on one pane, radio or phone info in the second pane... It looks like that functionality get eliminated with this version of iDrive, since it appears to be a physically narrower screen.
