After the Welt meet I discovered just how short the battery life on a Hero3 with WiFi is, so I decided to get the battery bacpac. I used the GoPro once and then put it away for a few weeks.
Today I decided to try some new mounting points so I checked the camera: just as I suspected, it was dead. I plugged in the battery backpack because it's
SUPPOSED to have pass-through charging for the internal battery. After waiting till the battery readout showed a full charge I took the camera down to the garage. Imagine my surprise when it refused to power up or engage WiFi.
I'm charging the internal battery now, we'll see if the issue is pass-through charging not working or my GoPro...
