I have coilovers on my 332ti, that have integral Koni adjustable shocks. When they are adjusted to a softer setting, the ride is better than with Bilsteins alone. I can change them to full stiff in 20 seconds though (literally).
Depending on your setup, it doesn't have to be like riding with no suspension.
