The white plastic bushing(#4) for the shift lever should always be replaced. Most of the time it gets brittle since it sits right on top of the exhaust. Always replace it.

You should also buy new washers and c-clips(#6) for the rod linkage... you WILL loose one or more and then your F'd. Buy some spares they are cheap.

Hi,

Im trying to figure out the same question. So if i understand you correctly in my E82 135i N54 I can simply buy 25117542200 plus bearing and circlip and use the old #7 from my stock shifting kinematics? This would make the job so much easier and cheaper since the original n54 135i ssk one also includes a new #7 and is a PIT to change.
