I just saw the results of the 335i HPFP survey... 68% of the respondents state they never had the HPFP replaced, and of those 32% who did, 81% of them never had a second replacement.
I guess the problem is not as widespread as the vocal minority here, or at least I hope it's not.
FYI - I had my HPFP replaced at 5800 miles.
