The brake kit, IMO, was made for the 128i to upgrade to the 135i brakes.. for the price vs brembo bbk, it's unbeatable. As far as upgrading from 135i stock brakes to the BMW Performance ones, I cannot confirm whether you'd see noticeable difference. From what I believe, the rear calipers are two piston instead of one. The main selling point is that you get all these parts: calipers, pads, perf front rotors and rear rotors for the price of around $1,700-$2,000. Will it make a huge difference? I'd vote no. Does it look better? I'd vote yes. The brake pads are confirmed to be the same on the stock calipers as with the performance calipers. If it was me, and this is only me, I'd buy the $210 worth of rotors (+ shipping) and put the car on the lift for a few days. Those stock calipers would come off, and be powder coated a new color. Rotors would then be put on, and shazam!
