Hawk makes a lot of pads. You're probably thinking of HPS, which is for street only, or HP+, which is for autocross. I'm talking about DTC-60 and DTC-70, which are race pads and are generally not used for street except driving to and from the track.
I don't know the specifics of BMW stock pads. They're probably good to around 500 or 600 degrees.
