Lotus Cars (ie, the Elise/Exige/etc) is now owned by Proton, a Malaysian based company. Proton is an investor in this new team. Colin Chapman's family would appear not to have a leg to stand on, in my opinion. There is also a "Classic Team Lotus" that owns the rights to all of the old Lotus racing trademarks, which is not involved in this F1 attempt.
