Thanks - but I have ended up getting a pair of used OEM regular straight line LCI from Bimmer Heaven
The problem was not the tail lights assembly - it was the silly socket that powers the StopLight bulb as it powers the LCI board as well.
Now I have two extra OEM Tail Lights .... FS!
