The benefit of single sides is purely for weight. Single and double sides hoods look identical from the exposed side. The single sided has around a 23lb weight savings vs stock and the single sided has a 28lb weight savings. You can paint either and they will look identical from the outside, but with double sided you can leave the inside exposed which is a nice detail when the hood is open.
My advice when getting any CF hood is make sure you add aero catches or hood pins.
