I dont think it would make a difference. The hoods are both very ridged. The Single Sided only weighs 5lbs more than the double sided.
I would get the aero catches regardless of single sided or double. If I had to choose between double sided and no aeros or single sided and aero catches, I would get single sided with aero catches.
