I wouldn't say that. For comparison, here's a 1M with a little over 35k miles that recently sold on Bring-a-Trailer:

The car is an exception. It had mismatched odometer readings, unknown status of modifications. Check the history of BAT sales and this was not the "usual" for a US-based 1M for sale. The odometer issues are significant if true...hard to clarify if not well documented.
