Did you try to check for codes while stuck in the parking lot? Might have been hindsight for you but this would probably have been one of the first things I would have done, after checking for visible leaks etc same as you did.
Also, not for anything, but I can get my DCT manually into neutral in about 20 seconds. Maybe this was your first time and had to figure it out, but once you know how to do it, it's super easy. It should be part of the introduction to the car in my opinion. This is where the headlight switch is, this is how you open the trunk, this is where the tow hook is, this is how you get the car into neutral, etc.
