Like you, I also applied double-sided tape all the way to the corners - simply shaped it with a pair of scissors so there is not excess tape sticking out when installed. I made sure that all surfaces of the spoiler that touch the trunk lid have tape.

For those not sure yet, go ahead and give it a try...this is one of the easiest DIY's if you use all the tricks provided on this thread.

Also another small hint: if you're installing it alone, before you remove the plastic from the double-sided tape, go ahead and place the spoiler on the trunk lid exactly where you want it, and you can use painter's tape to mark where the straight edges and corners go; this way, you can do the job on your own and the spoiler will end up right where you wanted it.
