I have ordered a Montego Blue 135i. Word is that it'll be more like mid 2008 before we see our cars. A friend of a friend is the GM for the 2 BMW dealers here in Tassie and that is what he told me yesterday. I'd say that he would be a reliable source of info. He will be getting back to me regarding exact pricing of the car I want in the next few days, will keep you informed.
Australia is only getting around 200 1 series coupes next year made up of 135s and 125s variants, the US is getting the bulk of the production. So there is likely to be at the most 100 135i coming down under for the first year. Tasmania is getting allocated TWO!! It will be a rare vehicle on the road indeed, and there will be a looooong waiting list.
Good thing about getting in early is that we are in a position to order our cars exactly as we want them as they have not yet been manufactured.
What colour/interior are you going for?
