Clunking/knocking sound coming from the rear, perhaps from trunk or rear interior are
Frequently, but not constantly, there is a clunking/knocking sound coming from the rear of the car when going over bumps. It's a hollow-sounding noise and sounds like something is loose and flopping around. I swore it was something in the trunk but I don't have anything in there and the battery is battened down tight. The dealer couldn't find anything, of course, and said that they even inspected the rear suspension components and everything was as tight as it should be. It's driving me absolutely nuts because it's very audible and I can't pinpoint it at all. Anyone else encounter something similar??
